Relish in the views of historic landmarks that surround our massive 3941 acres of landscape. Don't forget your camera to take breathtaking photos of Deception Pass Bridge or our local marine life, splashing in the water.

Description: First day hikers are welcome to Bowman Bay, Deception Pass State Park for a fun morning of hikes and activities. Starting at the upper picnic shelter, hikers will break into two groups led by park staff. One group will hike to Rosario Head (2 miles) and one group will complete the Lighthouse Loop Trail (2 miles). On these trails, hikers will have the opportunity to look for birds and marine mammals while enjoying amazing views of the Salish Sea and rocky cliffs of Deception Pass. Children are welcome on hikes though the trail might be challenging at times. Please contact park staff if you have questions about difficulty. Along with hosting two hikes, staff will have a fun youth activity and scavenger hunt for families at Bowman Bay.
