You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     There are now Nature Backpacks available for check-out at Bay View State Park! Each backpack includes educational materials and a set of kid-friendly tools to help young explorers learn about nature. Inside, you’ll find binoculars, observation tools, colored pencils, a field journal, books, activities and more.

    Visit us at the Bay View Registration Station to request a Nature Backpack. You can borrow a backpack for either 48 hours or one week.

  1. Wildflower Weekend Walk

    It's Wildflower Weekend at the park! Join us for a morning wildflower walk around the park where we'll be using all the senses to appreciate these fine floral friends. This hike will require stepping up, stepping down, and will take place on an uneven path. Prior to the walk, we will hold our first Junior Ranger session of the summer to help aspiring naturalists complete page 5 of the Junior Ranger Booklet to better prepare for responsible recreation in the park. The Junior Ranger program is 20 minutes long and begins at 11:00 a.m. The wildflower walk is 1 hour long and will begin at 11:30 a.m.

    Join us at 9:30 pm on the Lake Wenatchee South Park Beach where we take a cosmic voyage with Naturalist Emily Jacobs and lay beneath the stars at Lake Wenatchee. During this naked eye stargazing experience, you'll learn about the heavens, the moon, the Milky Way galaxy, meteors, constellations, comets, and the folklore that follows.
