ADA at State Parks

State Parks is dedicated to ensuring that outdoor experiences in Washington’s natural environments are accessible to all, regardless of abilities. Learn about how we are making Parks accessible here.

Notice of Non-Discrimination

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission (State Parks) will not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission to, access to, or operations of its programs, services, or activities.

Read State Parks Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act Notice.

Transition Plan

State Parks is updating its ADA Title II Transition Plan to address barriers to accessibility for people with disabilities. The updated Transition Plan will identify barriers to accessibility and develop barrier removal solutions to better allow people with disabilities to access the state park system’s natural, cultural and recreational features.

Learn more about the Washington State Parks' ADA Transition Plan's Identified Barriers here.

ADA Grievance Procedure

Despite the agency’s efforts, barriers may still exist, or additional changes or improvements may be needed for State Parks to be fully accessible to people with disabilities. If you encounter an accessibility barrier within the State Parks system, please let us know.

Read the State Parks Grievance Procedure.
