WHAT:
State Parks is currently working on a capital project that will renovate and expand the upland and beachfront day use areas of Kopachuck State Park. To obtain a building permit for the project, Parks must provide Pierce County with the option to widen neighboring roads in the future if needed.

Members of the public can provide written questions, comments and suggestions during the meeting. Additional information can be found on the project webpage: https://bit.ly/3EdX5uA

BACKGROUND:
Pierce County has determined that the Kopachuck State Park project will cause increased visitor traffic which will affect county roadways. Parks’ agreement to allow the County to widen adjacent roads will help ease expected congestion.

About Kopachuck State Park
