Comments due Sept. 15
OLYMPIA – August 21, 2014 – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission invites the public to comment on two proposals for Mount Spokane State Park, one of which includes the expansion of the ski area.
The following two proposals are combined under one draft environmental impact statement (EIS), which considers the potential impacts of:
- The expansion of the Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park, with the addition of one ski lift and seven associated ski trails within an approximately 279-acre area.
- A formal land classification and reclassification of a portion of the state park known as the Potential Alpine Ski Expansion Area (PASEA).
The deadline for comments is Sept. 15.

A print copy of the EIS is available for viewing at State Parks’ Headquarters located at 1111 Israel Road SW, Olympia, WA 98504. Comments on the combined EIS must be in writing and received by Sept. 15.
