OLYMPIA – Jan. 15, 2020 – Washington State Parks will hold a public meeting to share preliminary recommendations for recreation and land use at Alta Lake and Bridgeport state parks, both located in Okanogan county.

BACKGROUND
Last May, State Parks planners began meeting with the public and stakeholders to develop long-term recreation and land-use plans for Alta Lake and Bridgeport state parks. In October, agency staff held another meeting to introduce several planning alternatives for the public to review and provide feedback. The Jan. 29 meeting brings the agency closer to developing final recommendations, which staff will present at a future meeting of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
