The Winter Recreation Program is now accepting applications
for the 2009-2010 season. The application deadline is June 1, 2009 postmark.

The Winter Recreation Sports Funding Program provides funds for
services in the Washington state Sno-Park system. Funds can be used for winter recreational
purposes, including the acquisition, development, operation, planning and maintenance of
facilities and programs.
All projects become part of the Winter Recreation Program and must adhere to its rules,
regulations and policies.

- Any private group or individual
Eligible projects
For 2009-2010, only ongoing projects will be considered for funding. These include trail
grooming services, safety education and enforcement and one-time projects are
eligible. Ongoing projects in the Washington state Sno-Park system are also eligible.

The Recreation and Conservation Office
The RCO administers grants from the Recreational Trails Program (RTP).
Applicants are encouraged to seek additional funding from this program.
