Washington and Oregon Recreation Permit
More Access – More Play!
The Washington and Oregon Recreation Permit
State and Federal agencies in Washington and Oregon are now collectively offering a
convenient day-use recreation permit, which is honored at the majority of agency sites
within the region. This permit is an add-on to the existing Interagency Annual Pass, reducing
the need to purchase multiple permits, while providing a cost savings to the avid
recreationist.
The Washington and Oregon Recreation Permit is honored for day-use at all Forest Service,
National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sites.
It also offers access to Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department day-use fee parks and
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers fee sites, and will serve as a valid watercraft launch and trailer
dump station permit at all Washington state parks.
Here in the Northwest, visitors can expect to need a recreation permit at many recreation
sites on both state and federal lands. Several recreation pass/permit choices are available for
the visitor depending on the type of recreation experience planned.
The fees from your permit purchase play an important role in the operation and maintenance
of key recreation facilities and services.
