Fort Flagler
|
Located on the tip of Marrowstone Island, Fort Flagler State Park rests on a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound, which offers breathtaking views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Visitors can stroll through the park, discover the history of the fort, view deer, walk long stretches of beach covered with driftwood or stop by the popular nearby city of Port Townsend.

Hospital Steward's House

The charming, century-old historic Hospital Steward's House overlooks the original grand parade ground at Fort Flagler. It features a spacious kitchen, pressed tin ceilings, a separate dining room decorated with lace curtains and tablecloth and a hardwood floor that leads into a comfortable double-couch living room. The upstairs includes pressed-tin ceilings, an antique claw-footed bathtub and two bedrooms with one queen-size and two single beds. A private porch with Adirondack chairs offers a scenic view of Admiralty Inlet and the Marrowstone Point Lighthouse on the northeast tip of the beach. |

Waterway House

Set in a lovely location above Admiralty Inlet, Waterway House showcases a commanding view of the water from the living room. Built during World War II, this comfortable house has a bright and cheerful interior and accommodates up to eight people. It has four bedrooms with two queen-size and four single beds, and two bathrooms. A spacious open kitchen, dining area and living room create a nice gathering place.

Non-commissioned Officers' Quarters -- North and South
|
Overlooking Admiralty Inlet, the Non-commissioned Officer's Quarters is made up of two duplexes that accommodate four people in each unit. The lovely building was built above the shoreline in 1903 and still retains its old-time flavor. Each unit includes two bedrooms upstairs, a comfortable kitchen with modern appliances, a cozy living room with a TV and VCR, a claw-footed bathtub and a private porch with adirondack chairs and a picnic table facing the water.
