The Washington Brewer’s Festival is presented by Washington Beer Commission in partnership with the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. The festival is the primary fundraiser for the Washington Beer Commission. The Commission, established to encourage local beer brewing using in-state agricultural ingredients, is the first of its kind in the nation.
Saint Edward State Park is a 316-acre, day-use park with 3,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Washington. The Late Romanesque Revival style seminary building, designed by Seattle architect John Graham, sits amidst expansive park grounds that include a stand of forest with hiking trails to the shores of the lake.
The Commission manages a diverse system of more than 100 state parks and recreation programs, including long-distance trails, boating safety and winter recreation. The 98-year-old park system will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2013.
