Environmental Learning Centers

Spacious and comfortable, these lodges with clustered cabins and other rustic facilities offer groups the opportunity to get away from it all in an outdoor, natural environment. Youth groups, retreats and family or business gatherings of 15 to 260 people can find accommodations in a camp setting at environmental learning centers in 10 state parks. (Fees listed under each facility are subject to change.)

Situated near Mount Constitution on a forested island in the San Juans, Camp Moran provides opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, fishing and swimming.
Park Location: Near Eastsound on Orcas Island.
Capacity: 144 people.
Availability: Year round.
Accommodations: Rustic main lodge with wood-burning stove and commercial-sized kitchen; three duplexes sleep 28 each with attached restrooms and showers; one cabin sleeps four with attached restroom and shower; two A-frames sleep eight each; four cabins sleep 10 each; restrooms and showers nearby.

Set on a saltwater bay with freshwater lakes nearby, Cornet Bay offers access to hiking trails and fresh water lakes.
Park Location: Near Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island

Set on a high bluff above the Puget Sound, Fort Flagler presents visitors with opportunities for clamming, hiking and exploring the fort's barracks.
Park Location: Near Port Hadlock.
Capacity: 261 people in three separate arrangements:
Camp Hoskins, occupancy of 180.
Camp Richmond, occupancy of 52.
Camp Wilson, occupancy of 15 to 29.

Situated on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, this center features fishing, beach combing and hiking.

Rested under tall trees along the shores of Deep Lake, this center offers boating, fishing, swimming and hiking.

Located on the Tucannon River in the Blue Mountains, this center offers hiking on forested and mountain trails, canoeing on Donnie Lake and swimming in an indoor pool.
