Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands. Cama Beach State Park

    Children can build and decorate their own wooden toy boat at the historic boat house. This program is part of the activities provided by the Center for Wooden Boats.

  2. Free Park Bus Tours: Between Cama Beach and Camano Island State Parks

    August 16, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    Free bus tour of the two State Park. Guests can travel between the two parks, see the sights in both parks, walk the trails, visit the store, rent a boat, eat at the Café and hear some fun and educational information from the knowledgeable volunteer driver.

    Crafts: The Parks Interpretive Specialist (and friends) help children (and adults) create all sorts of interesting handmade items. The type of craft varies each day so come back often. Meet at the driveway just north of the Cama Beach Store.

    Come join us at the campground amphitheater for a presentation by the Key Peninsula Historical Society on the early days of camping at Penrose Point, with stories from the Puget Salish People to the family of Dr. Penrose.

Saltwater State Park

  1. Flute Quest 2014

    This event is the largest of its kind in the Northwest and ranks third in our nation. Flute Quest is a musical festival celebrating the Native American Flute. The New Breath Stage will offer continuous musical entertainment in the outdoors main event area for all to enjoy. The head line events will host talented Grammy Award Winning Artist’s. There will be craft booths, Flute vendor’s, food vendor’s and class room workshops for Native American drums and flute’s. Free beginner workshops for those first time flute players. Also available will be workshops with our concert headliners for those more advanced player’s. The CCC fire ring near the water front will provide 45 minute drumming and fluting jam sessions for those playing enthusiasts who would like to join in and share their talents.
