Yakima River - Kinghorn Slough Access (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
Take East Nelson Siding exit from I-90 between Cle Elum and Easton. On the north side of the freeway, by fire station, take Hundley Rd and go 2.2 miles to area entrance.
Features: Bank fishing on what is considered state's best resident trout stream.
Other Info: Wild rainbows average 11 inches. Excellent for whitefish.

Lake Cle Elum - Bell Property (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
Go thru Roslyn and Ronald and continue north on SR 903. Access is on left, 2.5 miles north of Last Resort Restaurant.
Features: Natural bank boat launch.
Accessible parking. Other Info: Fishing for Kokanee, lake trout (makinaw) and burbot.
No boat launch after mid-summer due to reservoir draw down.Updated: 9/9/2002

Start at Interstate 90 exit 85 (Cle Elum). Go E on State Route 970 for 6.9 mi. Turn left on Teanaway Rd. Go 7.3 mi. Turn left on West Fork Teanaway Rd. for 0.6 mi. Turn right on Middle Fork Teanaway Rd.(paved, two lane/gravel, one lane.) Go 3.9 mi site on left.
Features: Open forest stream side setting.

Matton Lake (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
From Ellensburg, take exit 109 from I-90. Go northwest for 0.5 mile on Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Damman Rd and go west for 1.6 miles to access on the left.
Features: Dock/float; bank fishing for rainbow trout. Gravel and dirt parking.
The float is useable after you can get on it from the dirt parking lot. Updated: 5/22/2003

Yakima River - Thrall Access (Ringer Rd) (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
In Ellensburg, take eixt 109 from I-90 and go south on SR-821 (Canyon Rd) for 3.3 miles to Ringer Rd. Go west on Ringer Rd for 0.3 mile to access on left. (Note: Ringer Rd is a loop road)
Features: Rented outhouses are provided during fishing season.
Other Info: Considered the best resident trout stream in Washington. Wild rainbows average 11 inches. Also excellent for whitefish.

On I-90, take exit 109 from Ellensburg. Go south for 1 mile on Canyon Rd. Go east on Tjossem Rd for 1.65 miles. Go south on County Rd 6 for 1.2 miles to access on the right.
Features: Natural bank boat launch.
Bank fishing for rainbow and brown trout. Updated: 9/24/2008

Located four miles east of Ellensburg, WA and three miles west of Kittitas, Wash.
From I-90:
Take exit #115 (Kittitas). Go north on Main Street to T-intersection. Turn left and go three miles. Turn left on North Ferguson Rd. Drive about 1/2 mile to park.

Colockum Wildlife Area (WDFW)
From Wenatchee, go 20 miles south on the Malaga/Alcoa Hwy. Area is on the west bank of the Columbia River.
Features: Area is managed for wildlife habitat, primarily elk. Over 300 miles of primitive open roads, with undeveloped parking and campsites. Four-wheel drive vehicles are advised. No developed fishing sites, although fishing along remote streams. Seasonal wildlife viewing possible from car.

L.T. Murray Wildlife Area (WDFW)
Area extends from Cle Elum to Selah, and north of Vantage along the Yakima River with a number of entry points.
Features: Area managed for a big game habitat and wildlife recreation, with a number of road closures. Mostly undeveloped, natural areas, with primitive campsites and parking areas. Fishing on Taneum Creek is primitive stream bank, with no vehicle access. Seasonal wildlife viewing from vehicle.

Features: Elk viewing shelter, primitive RV camping, and telephone at the headquarters location. Accessible big game hunting opportunity for disabled hunters by reservation into a walk-in only area by motor vehicle. Contact the ADA coordinator at (360) 902-2349 in Olympia. Features: Forest stream, snow shelter Other info: Horses and snowmobiling on trails.
Snow shelter, and horse mounting ramp. Other Info: Accesses 24 miles of horse, hiker, mountain bike, and motorcycle trails on state land, connecting to many more miles of trail on the Wenatchee National Forest.

From I-82, take Parker exit. Follow Yakima Valley Hwy to Mellis Rd. Take Mellis Rd to stop sign. Turn right and follow to end of road.
Other Info: Rainbow trout and whitefish in upper reach of Roza Dam. Lower reaches provide opportunities for smallmouth bass fishing.

I-82 Ponds - Ponds #4 & #5 (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
Take exit 50 from I-82 east. Turn left toward toward Buena and go 0.5 mile. Turn left onto Buena Loop Rd and go 0.4 miles to access on left.
Features: Ponds stocked with rainbow and brown trout, with browns to 16 inches caught occasionally. Fishing is fair for crappie and bass.

Take exit 52 from I-82 eastbound; turn right at stop sign; go 0.1 mile, access on right before bridge.
Features: Excellent fishing for rainbow trout and whitefish above Roza Dam. Lower reaches provide some smallmouth bass action.

Take exit 67 from I-82 and go south on Midvale Rd to Green Valley Rd. Go west for 1 mile, then turn left (south) onto Snipes Pump Rd to wildlife area.
Features: Dock/float, boat launch available. Maintained natural road system may be suitable for some wheelchair users.

Klickitat Wildlife Area (WDFW)
From Goldendale, go west on SR 142 for 11 miles to Glenwood Hwy. Go northeast on Glenwood Hwy for 5 miles to site.
Features: 14,000 acre natural area along Klcikitat River Canyon. Seasonal wildlife viewing includes deer, turkey, chukar, black bear, valley quail, bandtail pigeon, and dove. River access via dirt paths at Lyle and Mineral Accesses. Fishing for summer steelhead and spring/fall chinook.

Turn left on K-4000 road (gravel) go 0.4 mi. keep right, go 0.5 mi. keep left, go 0.6 mi. turn left onto K-3000 Rd. at 0.7 mi. you will pass the back entrance to Bird Creek, go another 1.4 mi. keep right, go another 1.2 mi to camp on right.
Features: Camping along a forest stream, explore nearby lava tubes, blow holes.

Features: High altitude campsite sub alpine setting, wildflowers, usually snowbound until June, cool to cold in summer.
