Motorized Use of Long-Distance Trails

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is undertaking a process to develop a policy and a procedure to determine when to approve use of motorized vehicles on agency-managed long-distance trails. State Parks has received requests for linear use of long-distance trails by adjacent landowners to assist with their agricultural production. The policy and procedure will be used to determine when and where such use is reasonable and appropriate; what limitations should be imposed on motorized users; what kind of monitoring will be needed; how the application process will work; and what fees should be charged.

State Parks is seeking public input on this issue. Please provide comments at the link below.
