Fort Townsend Salmon

shoreline landing site
Washington State Parks is partnering with the Northwest Straits Foundation and the Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee on developing design alternatives (leading to a final plan set) for a nearshore restoration project at Fort Townsend State Park.  The project will remove large rip rap from the intertidal area, restore sediment sources and transport, improve nearshore habitat for juvenile salmonids and other marine organisms, and improve public access to the beach. Construction is anticipated to occur in 2016.

Further information regarding meetings and project development will be posted on this website as the project evolves.
