The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission employs approximately 500 full-time workers and 350 non-permanent workers in locations across the state. Types of jobs vary widely, from park rangers and aides to engineering, planning, construction, and clerical positions. Each one plays an important role in the operation, maintenance, improvement, and protection of Washington's cherished state parks.
