State Parks Recreation & Conservation Plan

Belfair State Park
To be eligible for grant programs administered by the Recreation and Conservation Office, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission must have a current and approved recreation and conservation plan. In May 2010, the agency approved the current plan, which includes the following elements:
  • Adoption by organization's governing body
  • Capital improvement and investment program
  • Demand and needs analysis
  • Goals and objectives
  • Inventory assessment
  • Public involvement

This plan needs to be updated every six years.  State Parks is currently in the process of reviewing this plan and will bring it to the Parks and Recreation Commission in late 2015 for their consideration and adoption.
